Mission Statement

The Shrewsbury Seventh-day Adventist Church wishes to provide its community with acts of love and service as a means of demonstrating God's true character and living the gospel as a witness of Him.  We believe the Bible to be God's word, and our intention is to live according to the principles given there by Christ.  We desire to prepare our families and ourselves for Jesus' soon return, and to carry this hope and expectation to others.  We share this gospel in preparation for the fulfillment of Jesus' promise, "I will come again."

History

The Shrewsbury Seventh-day Adventist Church started as a result of an evangelistic crusade by Kenneth Cox in the Shrewsbury area in 1999.  The pastor of the church at that time was Pastor Wally Frost, a Shrewsbury resident.  The church members met at the Frost home until the group grew too big.  The location was moved to the Frohsinn Club and eventually to the Ray Stone Post Legion Hall.  This is our present location today.

Our Beliefs

As Seventh-day Adventists, we believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  It is through Jesus Christ that your life can be effectively changed and sinful habits put away: 2 Cor. 5:17

We believe in worshipping God on the Sabbath day or Saturday since we are instructed to do so in the Bible: Exodus 20:8-11 and because Jesus also did it: Luke 4:16;13:10

We believe in the soon return of Jesus Christ to take home all those that love Him and have accepted Him as their Savior: John 14:2-3

We believe in the importance of taking care of your health since the body is the temple of God:
1 Cor. 6:19 and God desires us to be in good health: 3 John 1:2

These are only some of the key points of our beliefs.  For complete details visit the Adventist website.
